Boston Pizza RDP Athlete of the Week for October 14, 2025

Natalie Tychkowsky played an important role in helping the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Hockey team defeat the Olds College Broncos 4-0 on the road. The talented first-year forward scored the eventual game-winning-goal at 1:39 of the opening frame. Smoky Lake’s Tychkowsky added her second goal about halfway through the middle frame. She also assisted on teammate Victoria Longley’s marker, which put the RDP Queens up 4-0 late in the final stanza. For her outstanding performance Tychkowsky was named the Queens Player of the Game.

Her two goals rank second in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women’s Hockey. Tychkowsky, a Bachelor of Education student, is tied for the most points (three) on the Queens with Longley and Mia McGregor.

This week, Tychkowsky and the RDP Queens will face-off against the SAIT Trojans twice.
