Boston Pizza RDP Athlete of the Week for October 7, 2024

Defense Addison Longmore had an outstanding performance in her Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) debut. The first-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student finished with two assists in the Queens 5-2 home and season opener against the Olds College Broncos. She was later named the ACAC player of the game for RDP.

After falling down 2-1 in the early goings of the second frame, Longmore and her teammate Chloe Belter set up forward Molly Flynn three minutes later to tie the game up at two. Moments later on the powerplay, the Swift Current native followed that up with the only assist on forward Jailyn Bablitz’s goal to take a 3-2 lead which ultimately ended up being the game-winning goal.

The Queens will be back in action this weekend as they face off with the Lakeland College Rustlers on Friday at 5 pm. The following day RDP will finish the home-and-home series against the Rustlers with the puck dropping at 5 pm.
