BROCKVILLE, Ont. – RDC's Jordanna Cota turned in a solid race in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association cross-country championships Saturday.
Cota finished 18th in the field of 110 with a time of 20 minutes 4.9 seconds over the five-kilometre course.
"Jordanna ran a bit slower than her ACAC time, but the course was muddy and a tougher and almost everyone was a bit slower," said RDC head coach Brian Stackhouse.
Amy Severtson came in 64th at 21:27.6.
Jessy Lacourse of Victoriaville, Que., was first at 18:33.4 with Grande Prairie's Jamie Wigmore at 18:43.1.
RDC came into the championships ranked seventh on the women's side and finished 15th, although they were missing four of their top runners.
They didn't have any men competing.
