RDC Athlete of the Week for Feb. 25, 2019

Erica, a first-year student-athlete, played an integral role in helping the Red Deer College Mixed Curling team earn Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) bronze at Olds Curling Club. The Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional Pharmacy student played third for the first time and did extremely well at the ACAC Curling Championships this past weekend. She developed into one of the top thirds in the mixed division, and her incredible shot making played a huge part in the team’s success. Erica continually improved her game throughout the curling season and finished the championships on an extremely positive note.

Congratulations Erica!

RDC Athlete of the Week for Nov. 26, 2018

Erica is one of four first-years on the RDC Mixed Curling team and she did a great job playing third at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Fall Regional this past weekend. The dedicated Red Deer curler helped her group achieve a 3-2 record, tying for third spot with the NAIT Ooks. Moving up to third is a big position change for Erica and she had a great weekend throwing her shots and being involved in the strategic planning of the game. On Sunday, Erica and her team had an outstanding day at the Pidherney Curling Centre when it mattered the most, downing the Portage College Voyageurs 7-3 and then soundly defeating the Olds College Broncos 9-1.

Congratulations Erica!
